Yoseline De La Rosa
Vice President of Public Relations
Yoseline De La Rosa is a four year DECA member and senior at Bremen High School. She is tremendously honored and ecstatic to serve and give back to Illinois DECA members by being on the State Action Team!
Yoseline joined DECA with no idea of what to expect but she knew she wanted to get involved. Shortly though, she realized that DECA was more than an organization, but a family, making DECA a fundamental part in her life. She has competed at nationals twice, her favorite memory being when her chapter convinced their advisor to get on the revenge of the mummy ride in Orlando. Yoseline found a passion for business, making her want to pursue a career in business in the future. Yoseline is forever grateful for the opportunities, connections, social-emotional skills and gain of leadership skills DECA has instilled in her.
At Bremen High School. Yoseline serves as President where she actively meets with her fellow board members to ensure cohesion, clarity and communication in tasks being produced for a great DECA year. As her chapter continues to expand, she is determined to take initiative, lead with kindness, motivate and guide members to their fullest potential. She works hard to keep her school-based enterprise running by stocking it with kids’ favorite snacks, making delicious coffees, and cleaning their newest addition, a slushie machine. She has worked on the ILDECA social media team for two years, first as graphic designer and then as instagram manager. The social media team was a great way to connect two things she is passionate for: content creation and DECA!
Aside from DECA, Yoseline devotes her attention and time in numerous activities. She is Co-Chair in Bremen’s student safety committee, president of the senior class, and also a representative in the student council. In the fall season, you will see her on the court playing volleyball with her beloved team and coaches. She is also involved in Mathletes, Pep Club, NHS, Key Club, and Peer Jury. Just last year, Yoseline founded the Taylor Swift club at her school alongside one of her favorite teachers (Yoseline is in her lover era!) Outside of school, Yoseline meets with young kids in her community every Friday to teach them how to play guitar and later play at her local church.
In her free time, you'll see her drinking an iced coffee or her new addiction, matcha, while creating different playlists on Apple Music, indulging in impulsive online shopping, baking her delicious churro cheesecake or checking up on her horse, April. Yoseline loves to spend time with her friends as well as with her baby nephew and niece. She loves listening to Adele and Bruno Mars, as well as crying to her favorite movie, Five Feet Apart.
As she embarks on her journey with the Illinois DECA State Action Team, Yoseline is filled with excitement and anticipation. She looks forward to meeting members from across the state and collaborating with her fellow state officers to elevate Illinois DECA to new heights!
