 MDA

This year, following the footsteps of national DECA, Illinois DECA will be serving the cause of Muscular Dystrophy Association in helping kids and adults to live and grow stronger. The MDA works to better the lives of individuals living with neuromuscular diseases by providing research, care, and advocacy, as well as running a summer camp that empowers children living with MD. Illinois DECA encourages you to donate, volunteer, and explore MDA’s mission.

Raffle Donations

As in past years, we are hosting a raffle and Miracle Minute fundraiser at the State Conference to benefit MDA’s fight for life. The funds raised will be utilized to fund research breakthroughs, empower families, and send kids with MD to summer camp.

Please consider donating items for the raffle. Holding a chapter event to raise money to purchase raffle donations is a great way to simultaneously support MDA, earn iConnect points, and complete a Civic Consciousness Project to be recognized at state!

More information on how to donate to the raffle is linked below, as well as our Amazon Wishlist and the form for your chapter to record any donated items. All items are greatly appreciated and necessary to make this event a success.

Civic Consciousness

Although DECA is primarily a business oriented organization, a fundamental pillar of what makes DECA so impactful is our dedication to giving back. Creating community oriented leaders is one of our core values, and a great way to act on that value is by leading your chapter in a Civic Consciousness Project.

Host a fundraiser or service event for any cause of your choice, and tell us about it using the form below. Be sure to take lots of pictures! We look forward to recognizing and rewarding your chapter at the state conference in March. Have fun making a difference!
