Meet our Officers
Illinois DECA

Ashley Maul is ecstatic to represent you as Vice President of Communication this year. As a fourth year DECA member at Naperville Central High school, DECA has always been one of Ashley’s passions.

Since freshman year, she’s been an extremely active DECA member, her friends often say she has an obsession with all things DECA. Her first year she attended Central Region Leadership Conference where she jumped into DECA right away. There she helped to establish the Illinois DECA Social Media Team, in which she’s been a member of for the past three years. That same year, Ashley competed in the Innovation Plan and placed top ten at state. As a Sophomore, she became Vice President of Social Media for her chapter and competed at ICDC in the Hospitality and Tourism Business Operations Research Event. Junior year, Ashley was elected Vice President of iConnect of her chapter and competed at ICDC in the Sports and Entertainment Marketing Operations Research Event. This year, Ashley is serving as her chapter president.

Ashley ran for office in order to give back to the organization that has been so impactful on her. Her favorite DECA memory other than being elected to the State Officer Team, is her first ICDC Opening Session.

Outside of DECA, Ashley is involved in Student Advisory Council, which is one of five student councils at NCHS. Along with SAC, Ashley has held a position as a freshman mentor and is a member of her school’s National Honors Society. In addition to school activities Ashley is active in her community, often volunteering with her chapter or at the Naperville Humane Society

In her free time Ashley enjoys traveling-she’s been to over 30 countries- and spending time with family, friends and her Shih tzu, Crispy.

Ashley gives credit to the support of her parents, brother, Andrew, and sister, Alexa. She also wants to thank her chapter and advisors for their support. She couldn’t do it without them.

Because of Ashley’s passion for DECA, she hopes to continue her education by pursuing a degree in business. After her undergrad, she also hopes to pursue an MBA. Outside of her career, Ashley also hopes to continue her passion for traveling by completing her goal to visit every country in the world.

Ashley has plans to improve the communication and member involvement within Illinois DECA. This year Ashley hopes to make Illinois DECA a stronger association and is excited for the #Limitless year to come.
